Make Your Own Hand Stitched Historical 18th Century linen and printed cotton mitts! perfect for a wide range of interpretations. Here are all the pieces and instructions necessary to make your own lovely linen 18th Century mitts! This kit makes it simple to construct a pair of fashionable and functional embroidered mitts using high-quality materials and historic techniques. It is a perfect little project to tuck into a basket or bag and sew at events, and once you’re finished, you’ll be able to look stylish and stay warm at the same time!
The dimensions of the pre-cut pattern pieces measure approximately 14” from point to cuff, and will fit maximum measurements of hand- 8”; wrist- 8”; forearm-12”. They can easily be made smaller during construction.
This kit includes:
-Pre-cut and marked pieces for mitt body, thumb and point lining
-silk sewing thread in a matching color
-Coordinating crewel embroidery thread
-a wool needle case with a sewing needle, embroidery needle, and 6 steel sewing pins
-the complete illustrated instructions booklet
-embroidery design templates

Lovely Floral
I ordered this linen mitt kit and loved it more in person than I had online! the kit came with everything that I need to complete the mitts and the instructions were easy to understand. This would make a great first project for those learning to hand sew. I cannot wait to get these finished!
