1. Travel Shut the Box - A travel-size version of our popular Shut the Box. The game Shut the Box is said to have been invented in the 12th Century France. Legend has it that Shut the Box was a cherished game among sailors and fishermen off the coast of Normandy some 200 years ago. 

2. Wooden Top - Tops are among the oldest and simplest of toys. The earliest tops were hand-made from wood and objects in nature. Later, they were mass-produced on lathes and in factories. Children, who frequently made their own toys, could make them easily out of scrap wood from their fathers workshops.

3. Cup and Ball - Hours of entertainment for all ages and bragging rights for those daring enough to master the skill... Fun Fact: In France these were referred to as a "bilboquet" which is why we sometimes hear them called a bilbo catcher.

4. Bird Whistle - A little birdy told me if you fill these up partway with water and blow into them like a whistle, they warble like a songbird. This popular 18th century children's toy is painted ceramic, like many originals.
